Victoria & David

Victoria and David began their wedding day onsite at the beautiful Aberdeen Farm.  A location in Smithfield with acres along the James River and situated on an airstrip overlooking the water.

The day began with Victoria and her bridesmaids hanging out at The Barn, a modern rustic haven, where they sipped champagne while getting hair and makeup done.  Meanwhile, David and his groomsmen were staying a short walk away at The Cabin relaxing on the riverfront porch.

After the bridal party got ready, we headed out to the front of The Barn for first looks with each of the parents.  It was such a special moment shared for the families seeing their children all dressed and ready for the ceremony.  Though Victoria and David opted not to share a first look, they chose instead to share a first touch, standing back to back as David prayed for their day and their marriage.

Guests began to arrive at the ceremony site, which was moved from the lawn to the reception tent close by based on the weather.  Though this wasn’t ideal, the Antonia Christianson Events was well prepared to flip the space after the ceremony, and ensure that the day moved on flawlessly.

As the ceremony progressed, and the curtain opened, David got to see Victoria for the first time.  He was struck by emotion, and tears rolled down his face as she made her way down the aisle on her father’s arm.  The ceremony was extra special as it was officiated by David’s grandfather.

After the ceremony, we headed out with Kirstyn Marie Photography to a location along the James River for Portraits while all the guests headed out to the cocktail hour.  Everyone then went under the tents for the remainder of the evening for dinner and toasts.  And then dancing the night away with music from The New Royals.
