Brittany & Dalton
Brittany and Dalton started their relationship as sophomores in High School and continued dating through college. Dalton ended up going to Virginia Tech to play football, and Brittany settled in at Christopher Newport University and later a cosmetology school in Roanoke through graduation. Dalton proposed on a family trip to Turks and Caicos and thus the wedding planning began. Their approach was to have a wedding that was relaxed, easy-going and fun, but also very elegant.
They settled on the Kingsmill Resort and hired a team of incredible vendors to ensure that the day was special. The Bridal Parties all stayed onsite at the newly renovated Estate at Kingsmill, which lent itself to amazing views for both video and photo during the getting ready portion of the day.
The ceremony was held out on the lawn overlooking the beautiful James River. A dear friend of theirs had the honor of officiating the ceremony which made it extra special and personal.
Cocktail hour was enjoyed out on the terrace as the vendor team prepared inside for their grand entrance into the ballroom. During this time we also golf-carted over to a beautiful overlook to capture a golden-hour video of the newlyweds along with the photo team.
And the reception didn’t disappoint! As all the guests gathered around the dance floor, Brittany and Dalton were introduced to roaring applause. They shared a special moment dancing together to their favorite song. We then moved into the parent dances where Brittany and her dad had a surprise planned. Halfway through the Father/Daughter dance, the music changed into a Medley of some of their favorite songs where they had a choreographed dance planned and were also joined by her sister. This surprising moment was a hit for the guests and made for such an incredible memory.
The reception continued with heartfelt toasts from the Father of the Bride, Best Man, and Maid of Honor, and then everyone danced the night away.
Lastly, the night ended with a confetti cannon exit to close such a magical wedding.
